	How to run a succsessful, and respected Website.  This isn't really hacking, but 
most people at some point or another, want to set up a website, as a portal to release 
there programs or maybe there exploits.  This is just a basic guide, that shows you the 
pit falls, and the other things that you need to know.

	First, if you going to start a site, you have to be serious, you can't just start a
website, put it up, spam a few links, and expect people to flock. My site was up, for 4 months
and I only got about 3000 hits maybe less.  That is the first pit fall.  I didn't use any programs
to add my site to search engines.  I recommend ADD WEB. It got me listed.  Also, its important
to have good meta tags, like this...

	You can use something like that, and the search engines will return good results.   
The next pitfall is getting your name out there.  Search Engines are fine, but you need to 
get your name out there.  The most, MOST, MOST, important thing, is getting affiliated.  
Get yourself an 88/33 mini banner, and start emailing the other sites, that are related to
yours, and get affiliated with them, have an affilaite section visible on a side bar, or at
the bottom of your site.  No one wants there affiliate banner, on a seperate page.  I didn't
have any affilaites until about four months into the game, and when I got them, my hits went 
through the roof.  This is the best way to get your hits up, and your name out.

	Before you can do anything like that though, you need to have some good content on 
your site.  If your going to go around to the other sites, and take articles or programs,
that they have on there site, either ask for permission, or give them credit straight away.
If its an article, put a link to the site you got it from, at the bottom, and make sure you 
give them credit.  No one likes to go to a site, and find that the person running it, stole
a bunch of there shit.  If your going to take programs off another site, specify where you
got it from, and keep them on your server, don't link them from the other site.  Thats 
just rude, and will give you a bad image.

	So, now that you have set up your site, and have some content, you can go into chatrooms,
or whatever, and try to get some hits by sending links into it, but thats spam, and not many
people like spam, the best idea is to just start a conversation with people in the room,
and work in the fact that you have a website.  This will get you some solid hits, even if
it takes a little extra time.  The most powerful advertising method, is word of mouth.  If 
people like what they see, then they will tell other people, and the word will spread.

	If you know anything about CGI, or know someone that does, you should get Newspro, or 
Coranto set up.  These two CGI Scripts are basicly the same, Coranto is a newer version of 
Newspro.  What they do, is allow you to easily post news, so you can keep your site updated 
on a regular basis, even if your not home.

	Keeping you site updated is the key to getting return visits.  If you don't keep
updating, then there is no reason for people to come back.  You could also set up a Tag Board,
but those usualy get flames on them, or a Message board.  Message boards are a key way, to
get people to return to your site.

	Another thing to remember is, that no one likes Popup ads.  There annoying.  If you going 
to have an ad on your site, make it in a frame, so that its just sitting there.  Also, you should
realize that people wont take you seriously, unless you have atleast a .tk a .com or .net is a 
plus.  If you have a geocities/yahoo/other free crap site, people tend to ignore you.  It shows
that you lack professionalism, and commitment.  This does mean that you have to spend a lil money,
but thats how it goes.

	Aside from having a good layout, thats about, it.  I can't possibly explain all 
the little ways to get more hits, and make a better site.  If you follow these steps, 
you will have a respectable site, and you will, get hits, eventualy.  Just remember you
need to have something that no one else has.  Find you niche in the market.  Don't expect
it to happen overnight, because it wont.  Be commited and you will succeed.
